Position: Project Manager [Fume Extract, Fume Cupboards (Permanent)

To further facilitate our continued organic growth, we are looking for a full time, permanent Project Manager/ Engineer who wishes to work in a progressive and forward-thinking company that values it employee’s and prides itself on providing the right environment, systems, and support so that the job can be done right first time.

Day to day duties include:

The management of multiple Fume Cupboard and Fume Extract system projects from contract award through to final commissioning

Liaising with in house production teams to monitor progress and review specific project requirements

Preparing 2D (AutoCAD) general arrangement drawings of Fume Cupboards and Extract systems

Procurement of materials and plant equipment

Liaising with the design department on individual part drawings and item specifications

Carrying out site visits to survey duct routes and take measurements

Complete contract documentation and technical submittals

Liaise with customers to establish timely solutions for any issues that arise on site

Monitoring projects profit/loss

Attend internal and external progress review meetings

Establishing and agreeing price variations and final accounts

Co-ordinate and liaise with suppliers, sub-contractors, in-house fabrication, and site installations teams.

About You

Ideally you will have a minimum 3 years equivalent experience in a similar role and are looking for an organisation that values your professional judgement, skill, and abilities. Personal Attributes we are looking for include:

A Project Managing/ Engineering background ideally within the Fume Cupboard or HVAC industry, or with a background in manufacturing

Experience in working with the specification for plastic ductwork DW154

Experience in working with Fume Cupboards or containment devices

An enthusiastic team player with a can-do attitude

Talent for building positive and professional working relationships with customers and colleagues alike

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail

A proven ability to absorb new process technologies quickly and easily

A proven ability to confidently converse with engineering and scientific disciplines at all levels.

A logical approach to problem solving

A full UK driving license and ability to travel across the UK to site locations

Desirable skills would include:

IOSH

Understanding of ductwork design and fabrication techniques

Understanding or production of system schematics

Experience with AutoCAD (2D)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 negotiable depending on experience

Holiday: 33 Days per year including Bank Holidays with increases based on length of service
