Our long-standing client is looking to appoint a BIM Manager to lead the development and implementation of BIM strategy, standards, and processes across the business on a 6-month FTC with the opportunity to be extended. This is a strategic and hands-on role, responsible for driving BIM adoption, ensuring high-quality model coordination, and supporting efficient project delivery across complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
BIM Strategy & Governance Develop and implement BIM strategy, standards, and workflows aligned with business objectives Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 and information management best practices Manage BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project-specific requirements Model Coordination & Delivery Lead multidisciplinary model coordination and clash detection Ensure model accuracy, quality, and compliance with contractual and regulatory standards Conduct audits of BIM models and deliverables Systems & Data Management Manage Common Data Environment (CDE), data structures, and naming conventions Oversee document control, versioning, and data integrity Support integration between BIM, CAD, and manufacturing systems Stakeholder & Team Leadership Act as the key point of contact for BIM across internal teams and external stakeholders Provide training, mentoring, and technical guidance Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and BIM best practice adoption Essential Requirements:
Proven experience in a BIM Manager or Senior BIM Coordinator role Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM information management Proficiency in tools such as Revit, Navisworks and/or Micro Station Strong understanding of engineering/design workflows Experience working within Common Data Environments (CDEs) Desirable:
Degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or similar BIM certification (ISO 19650 / BIM Level
2)
Experience with in manufacturing or complex engineering environments Knowledge of automation tools (e.g. Dynamo, Drive Works) Experience integrating BIM with production or manufacturing systems On
Offer:
£55,000 £ 65,000 (depending on experience) 6-month fixed-term contract (with potential to extend) 4 days per week (Monday Thursday, 37 hours) Predominantly office-based with occasional travel If the role is of interest, feel free to contact Martin on
