Senior Test Engineer – Manufacturing

• Provide technical support to the manufacturing test capability, ensuring programme targets are met to agreed time, cost and quality requirements.
• Support test engineering during Design / Development phases from initial concept through to Production Readiness Review and release to Operations.
• Support Test Facility introduction and ensure appropriate configuration control of equipment and facilities is in place before use, including generating test specifications and operator instructions.
• Support testing of electrical/electronic sub-assemblies and circuit cards, diagnosing production test failures down to component level.
• Work closely with Operations, design teams and stakeholders to overcome technical challenges and deliver in line with programme and quality requirements.

• Minimum HNC level of qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject (HND/Degree preferred).
• Experience in digital and analogue electronics manufacture and test.
• Good understanding of electrical/electronic measurement and test principles and test equipment, with fault diagnosis techniques for electronic / electro-mechanical sub-assemblies.
• Experience using manual and automated test equipment, preferably in a defence or similar manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ERP and MES programs (e.g. SAP, MES) for recording test activities and generating non-conformance reports.
• Ability to plan and organise own work to prioritise multiple tasks against project objectives.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including generation of test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports.
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.

• Salary:
  Circa £45,000 dependent on experience.
• Dynamic (hybrid) working: 4-5 days per week on site.
