Senior Test Engineer – Manufacturing
Join MBDA UK Ltd as a Senior Test Engineer and become an integral part of our Manufacturing team. This role presents an outstanding chance to contribute to the testing of our products and uphold the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support to the manufacturing test capability, ensuring programme targets are met to agreed time, cost and quality requirements.
- Support test engineering during Design / Development phases from initial concept through to Production Readiness Review and release to Operations.
- Support Test Facility introduction and ensure appropriate configuration control of equipment and facilities is in place before use, including generating test specifications and operator instructions.
- Support testing of electrical/electronic sub-assemblies and circuit cards, diagnosing production test failures down to component level.
- Work closely with Operations, design teams and stakeholders to overcome technical challenges and deliver in line with programme and quality requirements.
- Minimum HNC level of qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject (HND/Degree preferred).
- Experience in digital and analogue electronics manufacture and test.
- Good understanding of electrical/electronic measurement and test principles and test equipment, with fault diagnosis techniques for electronic / electro-mechanical sub-assemblies.
- Experience using manual and automated test equipment, preferably in a defence or similar manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ERP and MES programs (e.g. SAP, MES) for recording test activities and generating non-conformance reports.
- Ability to plan and organise own work to prioritise multiple tasks against project objectives.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including generation of test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports.
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Salary:
Circa £45,000 dependent on experience. - Dynamic (hybrid) working: 4-5 days per week on site.
- Security Clearance:
British Citizen only. - Company bonus:
Up to £2,500 based on company performance. - Pension: maximum total contribution of up to 14% (employer and employee).
