Job Overview
Engineer working on the mechanical design of Warheads. This role encompasses all facets of the product life cycle, from conceptualisation and detailed designs to qualification, production, and in‑service support across a diverse portfolio of Warhead types and applications. The position is part of a dedicated, multidisciplinary team tackling challenging engineering issues across the product life cycle. Aiming to broaden expertise in modelling, simulation, novel materials and emerging manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage mechanical design work packages, assuming responsibility for Design, Development, and Proving activities throughout the product life cycle.
- Provide detailed design, qualification and production support for Warheads.
- Coordinate with suppliers, customers and partner teams to negotiate and influence design decisions.
- Ensure compliance with qualification and homologation activities.
- Communicate design progress and issues effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- A Degree/HND/HNC coupled with post‑qualification experience and training in mechanical design.
- Proficiency in managing mechanical design work packages.
- Familiarity with proving and qualification/homologation activities.
- Relevant 3D CAD/CAE experience (training on our CAE tools will be provided).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity and adaptability.
- Salary:
Circa £55,000 depending on experience. - Company bonus:
Up to £2,500 (based on company performance). - Pension: maximum total contribution up to 14%.

Security & ClearanceSecurity Clearance:
British Citizen or a dual UK national with British citizenship. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).
