Test Equipment Design Engineer - Production Design

Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Test Equipment Design Engineer who will join our Production Design Support Team. You will play a leading role in providing design support to the manufacturing organization, helping shape product and test equipment designs, and ensuring that designs are translated effectively into the production environment.

• Play a leading role in production activities, providing Test Equipment design support.
• Act as an integral interface between design teams and manufacturing teams.
• Provide design support, knowledge, and recommendations throughout the manufacturing process.
• Shape the design of products and test equipment, delivering support to customers.
• Write clear and concise engineering documentation.
• Lead the delivery of work assignments and actively engage stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
• Manage discreet work packages, prepare bids, control costs and deliver solutions.
• Investigate root causes of design-related issues and propose robust corrective actions.
• Mentor other Engineers and Engineering Technicians.

• Degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience of designing products/systems and/or providing support to designs through the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle.
• Excellent verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Passion for innovation and collaboration.
• Experience working autonomously, leading delivery of assignments and stakeholder engagement.
• Solid experience of managing discreet work packages preparing bids, controlling costs and delivering solutions.
• Investigative skills to find root causes of design-related issues and propose corrective actions.
• Full product lifecycle knowledge or experience.
• Willingness to provide support to and mentor other Engineers and Engineering Technicians.
• Proven experience in the design of one or more of the following disciplines: RF and Antenna Design, Electrical Architecture Design for Safety and Integrity, RF Test and measurement principle knowledge.

Working arrangement:
Hybrid – 4–5 days per week onsite.
