Bolton – 3 Shift Pattern – £48,000 + Bonus

A leading global automotive supplier specialising in advanced vehicle components and systems for major OEMs worldwide. Our Bolton facility is a key high‑volume production site focused on precision assembly and testing systems.

• Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of high‑volume PLC‑controlled production equipment
• Planning and performing preventative maintenance on critical assets
• Improvement and modification of assembly/test equipment and transfer systems
• Service and maintenance of electrical and mechanical site services/plant
• Supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment

• Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC level (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, supported by City & Guilds Part 3 (or similar) and NVQ Level 2 & 3
• Time‑served apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline
• Significant hands‑on experience (minimum 2+ years) in high‑volume manufacturing environments
• Proven track record in equipment repair, maintenance and process improvement
• Experience in fitting, fabrication and machining is highly advantageous
• Strong background in maintenance and fault‑finding on PLC‑controlled and robotic high‑volume equipment (ideal but not essential)
• Solid experience maintaining and diagnosing faults in hydraulic and pneumatic systems
