Working Model: Predominantly site-based, with limited hybrid flexibility depending on workload.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Test Engineer to join a specialist engineering team, supporting the testing, fault diagnosis and continuous improvement of complex electronic assemblies.
As a Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will play an important role in identifying technical issues, improving product reliability and supporting manufacturing performance. Working alongside colleagues across engineering, production and quality, you will help resolve challenging technical problems and ensure electronic products meet demanding quality and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate faults within electronic circuit board assemblies, identifying issues down to individual component level.
- Use a range of electronic test and measurement equipment to diagnose faults, analyse results and establish root causes.
- Develop and maintain test procedures, technical specifications and clear instructions to support manufacturing operations.
- Work collaboratively with design, production, quality and process engineering teams to resolve technical issues and implement improvements.
- Provide engineering support during product development, introduction of new test capabilities and transition into production.
- A relevant engineering qualification, such as an HNC or equivalent in an electrical or electronic discipline, supported by appropriate technical training or apprenticeship; alternatively, a relevant engineering degree.
- Strong practical knowledge of electronic testing, measurement techniques and fault-finding methodologies.
- Experience diagnosing faults on printed circuit board assemblies, including analogue and digital electronics.
- Confidence using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators and automated test systems.
- Ability to interpret electronic schematics, engineering drawings and technical test documentation.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, production engineering or high-reliability electronics environment.
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems, engineering data management tools and quality reporting processes.
- Performance-related annual bonus.
- Opportunities for paid overtime.
- Additional leave options and flexible working arrangements, subject to operational requirements.
- Enhanced family leave benefits.
- On-site facilities, including parking and subsidised catering.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an electronics-focused engineer looking to develop their technical expertise while contributing to complex, high-integrity engineering programmes in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
