The Role

We are seeking a skilled, proactive and enthusiastic Casual Theatre and Venue Technicians to join our team. This is a key role within our venue, supporting the successful delivery of a diverse programme of performances and events. As a Theatre & Venue Technician, you will be responsible for the preparation, operation and maintenance of venue equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge or theatre production systems, excellent problem-solving skills.

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience in theatrical sound and lighting, including understanding programming and operation of digital sound and lighting systems, as well as experience in get ins and outs for productions and events, with a strong understanding of backstage and technical theatre practices. You will possess excellent organisational, communication and teamwork skills, enabling you to work effectively with colleagues, visiting companies and clients to drive a varied programme of events and productions, including our yearly pantomimes.

You will be able to prioritise workloads, solve problems under pressure and contribute to the successful delivery of a varied programme of events.

Above all, you will be passionate about live events, committed to delivering high-quality experiences, and flexible in your approach to supporting the needs of a busy and dynamic venue.

The Albert Halls is a busy and dynamic entertainment venue, hosting a range of performances and events throughout the year. As part of a multi-skilled technical team, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of productions and events.
