Our client, a well known company based in Bolton, are currently recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team. This business has grown steadily over the past few years and need an experienced person to run the purchase ledger from start to finish.
Duties include:
- Processing high volumes of invoices, matching to delivery notes and coding
- Dealing with supplier queries via phone and email
- Bank reconciliations
- Statement reconciliations
- Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs
- Ensuring suppliers are paid within their agreed times
- Ensure intercompany invoices are raised, reconciled and paid
- Assisting the wider finance team where needed
You must have previous purchase ledger experience to be considered for this role, ideally in a stand alone position. You will be used to working to tight deadlines, have a methodical approach to work, be a confident communicator and a good team player. Excel plays a big part in this role therefore you must a good Excel user.
