** Working Pattern:
** Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm, Friday 8:00am–12:00 noon We are seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Officer to join our clients team in Bolton. This is a key role within the Finance function, responsible for ensuring the smooth running of payroll, credit control, cash forecasting, and ledger management. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and enjoy taking ownership of financial processes, this role offers the opportunity to make a real impact.

* Key Responsibilities:
*** Manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams and ledgers.
* Oversee working capital management and produce accurate cashflow forecasts.
* Control weekly supplier and expense payment runs in line with cashflow requirements.
* Administer credit control processes to ensure timely cash receipts.
* Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments.
* Complete all month‑end Balance Sheet reconciliations.
* Process payroll, including salaries and statutory deductions, in partnership with our payroll provider.
* Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure strict data confidentiality.
* Provide training, guidance, and development to finance team members.
* Support corporate governance, risk management, and internal control procedures.
* Assist with the year‑end audit process.
* Contribute to key Finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role and grade.
** Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Skills
**** Essential:
*** Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar finance role.
* Strong knowledge of advanced accounting and financial principles.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.
* Confident communicator with effective written, verbal, and IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
* Highly organised, able to manage workloads and meet deadlines independently.
* Strong relationship‑building skills, both face‑to‑face and virtually.
* Self‑motivated with the ability to use initiative and work proactively.
