Financial Assistant

Accounts Assistant/ Development Role/ Fast Growing PE Backed Business/ Hybrid Working (2 Days WFH)/ Study Support/ Company and Personal Bonus/ On Site Gym

Forge Talent are working on an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Assistant. An ideal step for somebody with 12 months + finance experience to join a fast-paced finance team in a broad, hands-on role.

This position offers real exposure across reporting and transition activity, providing strong foundations for progression.

• Posting journals, including accruals and prepayments
• Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Running and analysing financial reports
• Supporting month-end close processes
• Working closely with the reporting team in a supporting capacity
• Assisting with transition-related finance activities
• Identifying process improvements and challenging existing ways of working

• 12 months + experience in an accounting role with a strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Confident working with Excel (V look ups and Pivot tables)
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge the norm
• A commitment to and interest in continual improvements and identifying streamlining opportunities.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise business critical tasks.
• The ability to learn and adapt to new processes in an evolving and ever-changing environment.
• A positive, ambitious and inquisitive mindset with a desire to develop knowledge.
• Keen to learn and develop within a growing finance function.
