Contract Type: Permanent

Hours of work: 38 hours per week. Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm – Flexibility considered

Are you looking to take the next step in your finance career? We’re currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join the team at Fazila Foods on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and detail-focused individual to support the finance function with day-to-day activities, with scope to develop and grow within the role.

In this position, you’ll be responsible for managing both the sales and goods ledgers, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time. You’ll also complete period-end checks and deal with supplier and customer queries relating to their accounts.

• Managing sales and purchase ledgers, including the accurate processing of daily invoices
• Reconciling accounts and supporting period-end activities to ensure all tasks are completed on time
• Processing expenses, credit card reconciliations and petty cash
• Responding to supplier and customer account queries in a professional and timely manner
• Supporting the wider finance team with general administrative and finance duties as require

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy
• Confidence using financial systems and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the Office suite
• A team-focused approach with the ability to build positive working relationships
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
• A proactive mindset, with an interest in improving processes and ways of working
• A Finance or Accounting qualification (or working towards one), AAT Level 2 or equivalent is essential
• Previous experience working in a finance environment is essential
