Self-Employed Financial Adviser (Build Your Own Business Model)

Ribble Recruitment is supporting a well-established financial planning practice with the appointment of a Fully Qualified Financial Adviser who is seeking to transition into a self-employed model and build a long-term, saleable client book.

This opportunity is suited to an ambitious adviser currently operating within an employed IFA or bancassurance environment who wants to take ownership of their earnings, client relationships, and long-term wealth creation.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional employed adviser role.

It is designed for an entrepreneurial financial planner who:

* Wants to build and control their own client bank

* Seeks long-term capital value from their book

* Is motivated by scalable income potential

* Is comfortable operating on a self-employed basis

You will join an established practice with strong infrastructure, compliance oversight, and operational support — allowing you to focus exclusively on advice and client relationships.

What’s Provided

Successful advisers will receive:

* An initial portfolio of approximately 100 existing clients

 * £100 per client review conducted

* 70% of Initial Advice Fees generated

* 50% of Ongoing Advice Fees generated

* The same 70% / 50% split on self-generated business

* The opportunity to purchase additional client banks over time (funding support available via the network)

* Long-term exit planning opportunities through structured succession pathways

* Full administrative and paraplanning support

* Dedicated compliance oversight

* Professional Indemnity cover

* Full IT and systems support

The structure is designed to allow advisers to focus purely on client-facing advisory work while the practice handles operational delivery.

Earnings Illustration (Existing Advisers)

Current self-employed advisers within the practice generated the following Initial Advice Fees in 2025:

 * £180,000 (7 years in role)

 * £110,000 (6 years in role)

 * £106,000 (2 years in role)

 * £65,000 (2 years in role)

Advisers retain 70% of these Initial Advice Fees, in addition to growing Ongoing Advice Fee income streams.

Several advisers have already purchased client books, with others scheduled to do so in 2026.

This model supports both recurring income growth and long-term capital value creation.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking:

* Fully Level 4 Diploma qualified Financial Adviser

* Currently providing regulated financial planning advice

* Experience with in IFA, wealth management, or bancassurance

* Entrepreneurial mindset with ambition to build a long-term business

* Comfortable operating on a self-employed basis
