Qualified accountant (CCAB body by examination) with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience.

Group Accountant

Responsible for supporting the delivery of the financial strategy in the Adults and Public Health directorates, providing strategic financial advice, overseeing statutory accounting, budget planning, and ensuring the efficient operation of the accounting team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing strategic financial advice to senior officers and external partners.
• Overseeing statutory accounting and budget planning processes.
• Ensuring financial integrity and contributing to decision‑making.
• Driving operational excellence within the accounting team.

Qualified CCAB accountant with at least 2 years of post‑qualification experience.

Demonstrated expertise in financial management and technical accounting.

Collaborative problem‑solving skills and capacity to work with IT solutions to improve financial systems.

Ability to provide advice and guidance to senior officers and external partners.

Designated customer‑facing role requiring a specified level of spoken English.
