BoltonSalary: £18.00 - £20.00 per hourWe are seeking an experienced Financial Management Information Officer to join a Local Authority Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will support the effective management of financial resources across the Directorate, providing accurate financial information, budget monitoring, and advice to service managers and budget holders.Key Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation and maintenance of budgets.
- Produce accurate budget monitoring reports and financial management information.
- Analyse financial data and provide insight to support decision-making.
- Work with budget holders to ensure effective use of resources and value for money.
- Assist with financial reporting, forecasting, and final accounts preparation.
- Provide financial guidance and support to non-finance colleagues.
- Use Microsoft Excel and financial systems to analyse and present information.
You will have experience working in a finance environment, with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance colleagues. You will ideally have:
- AAT qualification (full or part-qualified) or equivalent.
- Experience preparing financial reports and management information.
- Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills.
- Experience supporting budgets, forecasting, and financial monitoring.
- Local Authority experience and knowledge of Oracle systems would be desirable.
