Our client, a well established and growing business based in Bolton, is looking to recruit a driven and motivated Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team. This is a varied role within a fast paced environment, offering exposure to a broad range of accounts payable and wider finance responsibilities.

The position would suit someone with some AP or finance experience who is looking to join a larger organisation and develop their career, with the opportunity to start or continue AAT studies. It would also appeal to a proactive and team focused Accounts Payable Assistant who is keen to join a supportive and collaborative finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with payment terms
• Manage supplier accounts, resolve queries, and complete supplier statement reconciliations
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs, ad hoc payments, and self-billing invoices
• Post daily bank transactions and complete monthly bank reconciliations
• Support month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, GRNI, spend analysis and reporting
• Produce KPI reports and maintain daily cash flow forecasts
