Our client, a well established business based in Bolton, is looking to recruit a hands on Finance Supervisor to join their finance team. Supporting the Financial Controller, you'll oversee the day to day running of the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger function, leading a small transactional finance team while remaining actively involved in the day to day operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to take ownership in a varied transactional role, within a stable and supportive business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the day to day running of the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger team, ensuring workloads are managed and deadlines are met
• Provide guidance, training and support to the team, resolving queries and maintaining strong financial controls
• Oversee customer invoicing, credit control activities, purchase invoice processing and supplier reconciliations
• Manage transactional finance tasks including payment runs, month-end journals, bank reconciliations and reporting
• Support month-end processes, payroll, stock reconciliations and maintenance of pricing data
• Produce regular management reports and KPI information
