The organisation offers a supportive environment with extensive training opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a range of workplace benefits designed to nurture your professional development and wellbeing. Join a thriving finance team where your commitment to accuracy and efficiency will help shape the future of the department as the business expands across international markets. Benefit from a wide array of employee rewards including performance-based bonuses, exclusive discounts at hundreds of retailers, health and wellbeing support, and access to one of the most comprehensive online learning libraries available.
As a Credit Analyst based in Greater Manchester, you will be entrusted with overseeing customer accounts to maximise cash collection while minimising risk. Your daily responsibilities will involve maintaining accurate records of debt collection activities, monitoring new account setups, setting credit limits, and collaborating closely with both customers and internal teams. Key duties include:
Maintain a proactive approach to collecting outstanding debt by consistently meeting collection targets through effective account management. Keep meticulous records on all chasing activities and payment promises to ensure transparency and accountability within your portfolio. Follow guidance from your team leader to resolve issues efficiently while supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the department. Assist colleagues with their workload when required, fostering a communal spirit that supports overall team success.
Drive improvements in reducing overdue debt days by identifying non-value added tasks and streamlining day-to-day activities. Monitor new customer account setups closely, including setting and controlling credit limits to minimise financial risk. Build strong relationships with customers and internal colleagues by communicating clearly and maintaining trust throughout all interactions. Manage your own portfolio of accounts independently while ensuring outstanding debts are collected in line with company policy.
Escalate issues promptly when appropriate to ensure timely resolution and maintain high standards of service delivery. Collaborate with operational teams across the organisation on ad hoc projects, presenting information concisely to key stakeholders. The ideal candidate for the Credit Analyst role brings proven experience or keen interest in credit control or accounts receivable functions. Your ability to adapt quickly to new systems-supported by training opportunities-ensures you remain knowledgeable about industry best practices.
You demonstrate excellent organisational skills that help you manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy in all record-keeping activities. Your interpersonal abilities foster positive relationships across teams. Ideally you will have experience in the following areas:
Experience working within Credit Control or Accounts Receivable is preferred but not essential; your willingness to learn is highly valued. Familiarity with accounting software is advantageous but not mandatory; adaptability in using new systems will be supported through training. A strong working knowledge of MS Excel is desirable but not required; enthusiasm for developing technical skills is encouraged. Your proactive nature enables you to manage workloads effectively while prioritising tasks according to business needs.
Excellent time management and organisational skills allow you to meet deadlines consistently without compromising quality. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team ensures you contribute positively to communal goals. Commitment to accuracy in all aspects of account management demonstrates your dependability and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal communication skills enable you to build trust with customers and colleagues alike.
