Health and Safety Coordinator

What will you be doing as a Health and Safety Coordinator?
Working alongside the Maintenance Manager as part of the senior team, you will be ensuring a safe working environment is maintained onsite. Duties will include:

Working with the Operations Team to continuously improve the H&S on the shopfloor including conducting onsite safety inspections and audits
Reviewing fire risk assessments and ensuring any issues are resolved
Maintaining staff and environment safety by monitoring and testing of Safe Operating Procedures and Environmental Operational Control procedures
Coordinating regular compliance checks with regards to LOLER, COSHH, legionella and fire safety from contractors.
Reporting on site Health and Safety including accidents, incidents, near misses and risk assessments
Liaising with an external H+S consultants
We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

Experience working in a similar senior Health and Safety Co-ordinator or Health and Safety Manager role within an engineering or possibly manufacturing environment
NEBOSH and IOSH certification
Good working knowledge of ISO
9001 and ISO
45001
Ability to identify risks or potential areas for improvements
Able to work in a fast paced environment
Confident and "thick skinned" with the ability to work with managers and unions
Confident IT skills with Word and Excel
Experience using Powerpoint and ERP systems would be beneficial
