Care Coordinator (Care Operations)

: 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm)
We provide practical care to families with children who have complex health needs and we need a Care Coordinator who can keep our operations running smoothly, efficiently, and with a healthy sense of humour.

You’ll be the operational backbone of our care service, planning, organising, scheduling, and smoothing out all the little bumps in the road so our Care Team can deliver exceptional support to families.
You will:
- Allocate staff and launch new care packages (standard within 14 days, complex within 30)
- Build weekly rotas with 95%+ coverage (your rota spreadsheet will be your new best friend)
- Work with Team Leaders and Senior Carers to keep day‑to‑day operations stable
- Coordinate training, ensure quality compliance, and maintain spotless documentation
- Be the operational point of contact for families
- Work closely with our brilliant Head of Care
- Handle on-call duties 1 weekend/month (cape not included, but encouraged)
You must have ALL of the following:
Qualifications- Level 5 Leadership and Management in Health & Social Care (mandatory). If you don’t have this, we love you, but the answer is no.
- 3–5 years’ operational management experience in health or social care
- Proven experience in care package management, rota planning, and staff coordination
- Experience working with complex care and clinical training requirements
- Demonstrated experience supervising staff, supporting well‑being, and managing escalations
- Strong track record in quality assurance, reporting, and documentation
- Ability to work with commissioning teams/local authorities (highly advantageous)
- Strong leadership and confident decision‑maker
- Brilliant organisation and planning skills
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management
- Competent with digital tools, care systems, spreadsheets & reporting software
- Ability to travel across the North West
- Ability to prioritise, delegate, and stay calm under pressure (tea helps, but it’s mainly you)

On‑Call RequirementOne weekend per month, on a rolling rota. It’s fair and balanced.
