Bolton (office-based with some travel required)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday

About the RoleThis is an entry-level IT role within a busy Service Desk team, providing 1st line support across the organisation. You’ll be the first point of contact for IT queries, supporting users across offices and schools, both remotely and occasionally on-site.
What You’ll Be Doing- Responding to and resolving incidents and service requests
- Acting as the first point of contact for IT-related issues
- Escalating complex issues to 2nd line support when required
- Supporting users with hardware, software and basic network issues
- Configuring user accounts, devices and applications
- Logging and documenting incidents accurately
- Supporting printers, connectivity and remote site hardware
- Contributing to the knowledge base and improving processes
- 1–2 years’ experience in a 1st line or similar IT support role (preferred)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and basic network issues
- Strong organisation skills and ability to prioritise workload
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Exposure to ITIL frameworks
- Understanding of cloud-based systems and virtualisation
- Experience with Intune, Jamf or device management tools
- Relevant IT qualification or working towards one
