Procurement Assistant - Bolton, UK

Job Responsibilities- Support the procurement team with day-to-day purchasing administration and supplier coordination.
- Assist in raising purchase orders and maintaining accurate records in line with internal processes.
- Help gather and review supplier information, ensuring documentation is complete and up to date.
- Monitor order progress and support with chasing deliveries and resolving routine queries.
- Contribute to maintaining supplier databases and ensuring data quality across systems.
- Support the preparation of reports and updates for internal stakeholders as required.
- Work closely with colleagues across departments to understand requirements and timelines.
- Follow procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
- Basic understanding of procurement processes, including purchase order administration.
- Competent IT skills, including the ability to use spreadsheets to manage and check data.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks with accuracy.
- Good numeracy skills for checking quantities, pricing information and order details.
- Experience of working with purchasing or procurement administration (or a similar support role) is desirable.
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent) are required.
- Relevant qualification or training in procurement, supply chain, or business administration is advantageous.
