House Keeper - Part time

About the Role

As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring our veterinary clinic remains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, clients, and their beloved pets.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning both staff and clinical areas, such as consulting rooms, waiting room and communal spaces to a high standard.
• Handling clinical waste in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Adhering to COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) guidelines.
• Ensuring hygiene and cleanliness are maintained in line with hospital protocols.
• Accountability for performing weekly health and safety checks and reporting as required.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in cleaning or housekeeping (preferably in a medical or clinical setting, but not essential).
• Is knowledgeable about or willing to learn COSHH and clinical waste handling.
• Willing to take on responsibility for regular health and safety checks such as fire alarm and legionella testing and reporting.
• Is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in their work.
• Can work independently and manage time effectively.

• Full training in health and safety procedures, including COSHH
• 25hrs a week
• 1:3 weekends
• hours of work 18:00-23:00hrs
• 5.6 weeks annual leave
