General Operator - Calibration and Maintenance

Our esteemed client, a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, is seeking a seasoned General Operator - (BA) - Calibration and Maintenance. This role involves We are looking for a reliable and proactive General Maintenance Operator to join our team and support the Calibration and Maintenance department in ensuring the facility and equipment remain safe, compliant, and operational.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Calibration & Maintenance department with general and preventative maintenance activities across the facility.
• Carry out routine compliance tasks, including ESD testing, electrical safety testing of equipment and portable appliances, and LEV filter changes.
• Respond to general and reactive maintenance requirements as required, ensuring ongoing facility compliance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records, ensuring all documentation and paperwork is completed correctly and on time.

Development & Progression:

• Mechanical calibration
• Electrical calibration
• The use of test equipment

What do you need?:

• Previous maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to follow procedures and complete documentation accurately and consistently.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and develop technical capability.

Security Clearance:
British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by our clients Security Team.
