Assistant Manager – Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Bolton, Greater Manchester. This is a permanent full‑time position on a 43‑hour contract, typically working a variety of shifts across five days each week, usually including at least one weekend shift. Full‑time positions require flexibility throughout the week, including weekends.

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide excellent customer service.
• Develop your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and feedback.
• Act as acting shop manager in the shop manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Motivate and guide your team to control operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.
