Bolton

Shift: Late Shift (4:00pm – 2:00am, Monday to Thursday)

Hours:

38 hours per week

The Company

TCS Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a long-established and respected engineering manufacturer based in Bolton, operating within the PTFE and specialist plastics sector. Due to continued demand, they are looking to strengthen their machining capability with an experienced CNC Machine Operator & Setter.

The Role

This is a hands-on machining position within the PTFE department, focusing on the setting and operation of CNC machinery to produce components to customer drawings and specifications. Following initial training, the successful candidate will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Set and operate CNC machines to produce components in line with customer drawings and specifications

Understand, interpret, and edit FANUC G and M code programs

Carry out direct ISO programming (essential)

Work on both small and large batch production runs

Ensure all work complies with ISO requirements, specifications, and regulations

Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety at all times

Operate with minimal supervision following training

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience as a CNC Machine Operator & Setter

Strong working knowledge of FANUC controls

Previous experience with direct ISO programming (essential)

Ability to read and work from engineering drawings

Manual lathe experience preferred but not essential

Experience machining plastics is advantageous, though full training can be provided

Time-served apprenticeship desirable but not essential

Reliable, quality-focused, and comfortable working a late shift pattern

Package & Benefits

Salary in the region of £38,000

38-hour working week

Late shift: 4:00pm – 2:00am, Monday to Thursday
