Mobile Plant / Machine Operator –

Location:

Bolton, BL6.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:30pm (47.5 hours per week). 1 in 2 Saturdays: 7:00am - 12:00pm. Pay Rate: £13.50 - £14.00 per hour (depending on experience).

We are expanding our team and are looking for experienced Mobile Plant / Machine Operators to join our busy and growing operation in Bolton (BL6). This is an excellent opportunity for reliable, skilled operators who are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Operate a variety of mobile plant machinery, including loading shovels and 360° grabs, as instructed and in line with training
• Complete daily assigned work schedules
• Carry out daily recorded checks and basic maintenance to ensure machinery is safe and operational
• Load various waste streams and grades into correct bays and processing areas to maximise recycling and recovery
• Inspect incoming loads to ensure compliance with site licence and permitted waste types
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and site housekeeping

• Proven experience operating a loading shovel and/or 360° grab
• Willingness to train on additional machinery
• Mobile Plant Operator Card or Certificate of Basic Training (desirable)
• Previous experience in the waste or recycling industry (advantageous)
• Basic understanding of health and safety in an industrial or processing environment
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume operation
