We re hiring for a Maintenance Engineer to join a manufacturing business based Bolton in.

In this role, you ll be responsible for maintaining production equipment through a mix of planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, ensuring machinery remains safe, reliable and operating efficiently.

• Mon Fri 7:30am 4pm
• Overtime available (1.5x after 40 hours / 2x after 48 hours

What will you be doing as a Maintenance Engineer?

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production machinery
• Working with bearings, chains, motors and gearboxes
• Maintaining and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Working on industrial pumps and pipework systems
• Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical engineering drawings
• Completing basic wiring, electrical fault finding and equipment checks
• Using internal maintenance systems and IT platforms to record work completed
• Completing risk assessments and system isolations before maintenance work
• Supporting weekend or bank holiday maintenance work when required

What will you need?

• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer or Multiskilled Engineer
• Either an NVQ/HND/HNC or City & Guilds in mechanical engineering
• Experience with mechanical maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipment
• Ability to read engineering drawings and maintenance documentation
• Basic electrical fault-finding and wiring knowledge
