Location: Farnworth

Job Title: Trailer Assembly Operative

Salary: £12.71 - £13.21 per hour

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 06:30 - 16:30 (38 hours per week)

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Trailer Assembly Operative to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing trailers to the required specifications and high quality standards while maintaining good housekeeping and working in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build a range of trailers and associated sub-assemblies to a high standard.
  • Ensure all production requirements are met and completed to the correct quality standards.
  • Ensure all finished trailers are inspected by Quality Control before leaving the production area (including wheel torque checks, sealed electrics, cleaning, and completion of required documentation).
  • Inform the Assembly Supervisor or Materials Handlers of any stock or material requirements.
  • Keep work areas clean, tidy, and well organised at all times.
  • Follow all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Assemble parts and components safely using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and lifting equipment.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Carry out any other duties reasonably required as part of the role.

  • Hand tools and pneumatic tools
  • Vertical panel saw
  • Scissor lift
  • Overhead crane
What We're Looking For
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Ability to work safely and follow Health & Safety procedures
  • Experience using hand or pneumatic tools (preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a production environment
  • Good housekeeping and organisational skills
