CNC Machine Setter / Operator (Milling)

Location: Bolton

Salary: Up to £22.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Early finish at 1:00pm every Friday

Our client, a well‑established precision engineering manufacturer based in Bolton, is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Machine Setter / Operator (Milling) to join their skilled production team. This is a CNC milling position, working with Bridgeport milling machines and 5‑axis CNC machining centres to manufacture high‑quality precision components.

• Set and operate Bridgeport CNC milling machines.
• Set and operate 5‑axis CNC machining centres.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Produce precision components to tight tolerances.
• Carry out in‑process quality inspections using measuring equipment.
• Ensure machines are running safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
• Work closely with colleagues to meet production schedules and quality standards.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as a CNC Machine Setter / Operator (Milling).
• Experience setting and operating Bridgeport milling machines.
• Experience operating 5‑axis CNC machining centres.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• A strong eye for detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
• A reliable and proactive approach with the ability to work as part of a team.

• Up to £22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• Permanent, full‑time position.
• 37.5‑hour working week.
• Monday to Friday working pattern.
• Early finish at 1:00pm every Friday.
