We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machining Centre Operator / Horizontal Machining Centre Operator to join an established engineering and manufacturing business based in Bolton.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist looking for a permanent position offering a competitive hourly rate, consistent Monday-to-Friday day shifts, and the opportunity to work within a professional engineering environment.
We are keen to hear from candidates with experience operating CNC machining centres, particularly horizontal machining centres, within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operating CNC machining centres and/or horizontal machining centres.
- Loading and unloading components, ensuring parts are machined to the required specifications.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Carrying out in-process inspection using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers and other precision measuring instruments.
- Monitoring machine performance and maintaining consistent product quality.
- Identifying and reporting any machining or quality issues.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Working to production targets and established quality standards.
- Previous experience operating CNC machining centres or horizontal machining centres.
- Experience with in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Competent using precision measuring equipment.
- A good understanding of machining processes and quality requirements.
- Reliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience with CNC setting, tooling adjustments or machine offsets would be advantageous.
- £15.00 – £18.65 per hour, depending on experience.
- Permanent, full-time employment.
- Monday-to-Friday day shift.
