7)

Are you ready to lead specialist care and transform patient experience? We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to lead our colorectal, stoma and ERAS team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver expert care, support patients through complex journeys, and shape the future of our service.

What We’re Looking For
  • Registered Nurse (RGN/RN/RSCN) with a relevant nursing degree.
  • Masters-level learning or working towards.
  • Proven post-registration experience in colorectal nursing, including stoma care.
  • Advanced communication, leadership, and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to manage a team and work autonomously.
  • Strong organisational and IT skills.

Desirable:

  • Non‑medical prescribing qualification.
  • Experience in research, audit, and protocol development.
  • Teaching and project management experience.
What You’ll Do
  • Provide advanced, evidence‑based care for patients with a diagnosis of colorectal cancer, other diseases of the colon and stomas.
  • Be a core member of the Colorectal Multidisciplinary Team overseeing complex patient pathways across primary, secondary and tertiary care.
  • Act as a keyworker for the patient and provide specialist advice, support and information for patients, families and carers through treatment and/or ongoing care ensuring continuity and a holistic approach.
  • Provide nurse‑led cancer follow‑up clinics.
  • Act as an autonomous practitioner and patient advocate.
  • Lead service development, implement change, and manage resources effectively.
  • Educate and mentor staff, delivering training and presentations.
