Quality Technician to strengthen our Bolton production plant

Your core responsibilities include:- Analyse Returns
:
Perform analysis of products returned from customers/field, identify defect and cause. - Function Test and Measurement
:
Perform function test and measurement on new/re-designed and existing products as required. - Product Reliability
:
Test product reliability, according to customer needs and timescales. - Reporting
:
Produce clear and accurate reports for testing/investigation/measurement and analysis results and conclusions with the use of analytical methods if required. - Equipment Inspection/Repair
:
Inspect equipment regularly and perform basic repairs and maintenance. - Documentation
:
Maintain basic procedures and SOP’s for test equipment. Support Customer and Supplier PPAP submissions. - Supporting Production
:
Support production department on ad hoc duties as and when required. For example, if there is a requirement for containment activities
Qualifications:
- In depth knowledge of GD&T along with CMM programming skill, operation of test stands and functional knowledge of automotive parts.
- Report writing skills, communication skills, fault finding skills i.e. the ability to identify the basic causes of faults.
- ONC level or further education in Engineering field.
- PC literate. (Word/Excel)
- At least 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment programming and using CMM’s
Salary : £35-38,000 gross annually
