Sales Assistant​/Barista

Part Time Sales Assistant/Barista: 20 hours per week over 5 days. Shifts between 06:30-18:30 (Typical shifts to be either 7 am
-11 am or 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm).

As a Sales Assistant/Barista at Smith’s Family Kitchen you’ll provide exceptional customer service and as part of a team to deliver our fantastic store standards.

Smith’s Family Kitchen offers over 40 beverage options that are hot, cold, and iced as well as offering fresh baked products in store, patisserie items, hot breakfast, and lunch on the go. Smith’s Family Kitchen prides itself on supporting the local community and giving back to its customers with a wealth of offers, loyalty perks.

Our Bolton Rail store has recently undergone conversion to our Smiths Family Kitchen concept, blending a barista coffee offer with all of the travel essentials that you would expect to find in one of our traditional WHSmith travel locations to offer commuters a one stop shop within the station.

• Interact with customers to understand their favourite food and beverage preferences so they get the best experience on every visit
• Deliver ‘best in town’ standards through presentation standards, availability and service
• Have great product knowledge to sell and recommend our products and services to your customers
• Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs and make recommendations
• Carrying out stock replenishment, ensuring all areas of the store remain tidy and inviting for our customers to shop.
• Working as part of a winning team: pulling together with other members in the team to adapt to what can be a changing fast paced environment.

• A passion for providing a great customer experience in your stores by Crafting Great coffee with your passion and energy for that Perfect Blend
• Good communication skills and listening skills to understand then customers needs
• Great organisation skills plus strong attention to detail

• Able to work as part of a team, supporting your colleagues and helping to deliver the daily activities
• Motivated to achieve fantastic results and standards.
