The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker within the fostering service mainstream team. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will provide regular supervision and support to foster carers, and to our children and young people placed in their care. You will have the skills and knowledge to fulfil the roles and responsibilities of the supervising social worker including, safeguarding children and young people, produce relevant reports that are analytical and high quality and present to foster panel when required.

You will ensure fostering regulations, and relevant policies and procedures are met through compliance, advice and guidance to foster carers. You will work in partnership with professionals and partners to enhance children and young people’s daily lived experiences and achieving good outcomes.
You will be joining a friendly service that consists of an established team of experienced individuals with expertise in all areas of children social care and specialism in fostering.

About You
We are looking for a qualified and registered Social Worker with Social Work England, with experience in children and families with a sound working knowledge of safeguarding, children social care and fostering legislation and regulations. You will have a passion and drive to emotionally and practically support and supervise foster carers to ensure a breadth of skill sets and expertise, to offer a varied and excellent range of foster placements that meets the individual needs of all our children looked after, ensuring stability, improving outcomes and experiencing care that is safe and of the highest quality.
