About the Role We are seeking a proactive and community-focused Neighbourhood Officer to manage a designated geographical area and deliver high-quality housing and tenancy services. Acting as the face of the organisation, you will support residents, maintain safe neighbourhoods, and ensure tenancies are well-managed.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, confidence in community engagement, and experience in housing, ASB, or neighbourhood management.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out estate inspections, identify issues, and ensure neighbourhood standards are maintained.
Manage anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases, working closely with residents, partner agencies, and enforcement teams.
Support tenants with rent arrears, tenancy sustainment, and early intervention.
Provide guidance and support to vulnerable residents, ensuring safeguarding concerns are escalated appropriately.
Build strong relationships with local partners including police, local authorities, and community groups.
Coordinate community engagement activities, local events, and resident involvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate records, case notes, and reports in line with organisational policies.
Respond to tenancy queries, complaints, and neighbourhood issues promptly and professionally.
About You We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Experience in housing management, neighbourhood services, ASB, or community safety.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Confidence working independently across a patch-based role.
A proactive, community?minded approach with the ability to build trust with residents.
Knowledge of safeguarding, tenancy law, or ASB legislation (desirable but not essential).
