Grade F – pay £31,022 to £34,434, with an additional 7% unsocial hours payment and a monthly on‑call allowance. This permanent, full‑time position (37 hours per week) requires a rolling 8‑day shift pattern (5 days on/3 days off or 4 days on/4 days off). Shift timings are either 8:00 am–6:15 pm or 11:00 am–9:00 pm.
You will play a key role in delivering a comprehensive housing service to individuals and families seeking homelessness support. Working from Benjamin Court temporary accommodation unit, you will assist families with complex needs, including disability, mental health issues, substance misuse and domestic abuse. You will build effective working relationships with internal teams and external partners to help residents move toward suitable long‑term accommodation in the social and private rented sectors.

- Self‑motivated, compassionate and committed to supporting vulnerable people seeking homelessness assistance.
- Experience in office and reception environments, dealing with customers face‑to‑face and over the phone.
- Good understanding of the causes of homelessness and the challenges faced by individuals in temporary accommodation.
- Strong IT skills, confident in using a range of internal and external systems, and able to communicate effectively both electronically and verbally.
- Attention to detail in completing important documentation such as benefit claims and Housing Benefit applications.
- Excellent communication skills, able to respond sensitively and professionally to individuals experiencing homelessness.
