What you will do:
  • Quality Assurance Audits: Undertake regular audits of children’s social care casework to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and local procedures.
  • Practice Evaluation: Review and evaluate the quality of assessments, plans, interventions, and decision‑making processes to promote best practice.
  • Professional Consultation: Provide expert advice and guidance to social workers managing complex safeguarding and child protection cases.
  • Practice Development: Promote evidence-based, strengths‑based, and restorative approaches across Children’s Services.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Support newly qualified social workers and experienced practitioners through coaching, mentoring, and reflective practice.
  • Multi‑Agency Working: Build and maintain effective relationships with partner agencies to support collaborative safeguarding arrangements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with statutory timescales, performance indicators, and quality standards.
  • Service Improvement: Contribute to service development initiatives, audits, action plans, and improvement programmes designed to enhance outcomes for children and families.
  • Quality Standards: Support the implementation and maintenance of high professional standards across teams and services.
  • Learning and Development: Help identify learning themes from audits and practice reviews, contributing to workforce development and continuous improvement.
