The RoleAre you a Social Worker who wants to work where your professional judgement, values and relationships truly matter?
Do you want to be part of a team recognised by CQC for strong partnership working and good practice?
Do you believe in protecting people's rights, promoting independence and supporting individuals to live the lives they choose?
Bolton's Mental Health Adult Social Care Team plays a vital role in supporting adults with complex mental health needs to live safe, independent and fulfilling lives within their communities. As a Social Worker/Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP), you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred interventions, working alongside service users, carers, health colleagues and partner organisations to achieve positive outcomes.
You will undertake complex assessments, care planning, risk assessment and management, ensuring that individuals receive appropriate support in line with statutory duties and best practice. Working within a multi-disciplinary environment, you will coordinate and review care, contribute to safeguarding activity, support carers and help people navigate periods of crisis and recovery. For AMHP qualified practitioners, the role will include undertaking duties under the Mental Health Act, while experienced Social Workers will be supported to develop towards AMHP qualification where appropriate.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker who is passionate about mental health practice and enjoys working collaboratively across services. You'll have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of adults with complex mental health needs, contribute to the ongoing development of high-quality mental health services, and be part of a supportive team committed to delivering excellent outcomes for the people of Bolton.

You’ll bring excellent communication and organisational skills, a collaborative approach to multi-disciplinary working and the ability to work autonomously when required.
