Position Purpose- Under the supervision of a certified staff member, to assist teachers with instructional and behavioral needs of students with severe cognitive disabilities in the education setting.
- Assist in implementation of classroom programs.
- Provide small group instruction.
- Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement assigned programs.
- Assists in classroom preparations and strategies for reinforcing instructional materials and skills according to individual student needs.
- Assists with record-keeping procedures to document student learning and performance.
- Assists students in non-instructional areas, such as supervising the student lunch programs, bus duty and other related non-instructional areas.
- Accompanies students on field trips for the purpose of assisting with supervision.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Associate's Degree
- 48 College Hours
- Passing score on all sections of THEA, COMPASS or TSI
Begin as soon as possible.
Salary- See FCSSA Clerical/Speciality/Administrative Scale (F1) hamisd.org
- BISD pay $325.00 towards medical premium
- BISD pays Telehealth premium for employee
