Hygiene Operative - Part Time

As a Part-Time Hygiene Operative in Bonnyrigg, you will maintain rigorous cleanliness standards within a food manufacturing facility, working Monday to Friday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Manpower is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing client based in Bonnyrigg for a Part-Time Industrial Hygiene Operative. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industrial cleaning or food production experience to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is an ongoing temporary role offering consistent part-time hours, with the opportunity to gain experience in both hygiene and production operations.

Monday to Friday 2:00pm - 6:00pm (20 hours per week) Flexibility may occasionally be required to support business needs.

Working within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, you''ll play an important role in ensuring the factory maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety. In quieter periods, you may also be asked to support the production team with general manufacturing duties, making this a varied and hands-on position.

• Cleaning and sanitising production machinery and equipment
• Carrying out deep cleaning of production areas, floors and work surfaces
• Safely using industrial cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals
• Disposing of waste in line with company procedures
• Ensuring hygiene standards meet food safety regulations
• Cleaning staff facilities and communal areas
• Completing cleaning documentation accurately
• Supporting the production team with general duties when required
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment

Previous experience within an industrial cleaning, hygiene or manufacturing environment is preferred Understanding of health and safety and food hygiene procedures Reliable, hardworking and punctual with a strong work ethic Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness Able to work independently and as part of a team Own transport is essential due to the location of the site
