Location: Lasswade High School Centre, Gymnastics Academy, Eskdale Drive, Bonnyrigg, Midlothian, EH19 2LA
– located on the outskirts of Edinburgh, approximately 8 miles from Edinburgh city centre.
Lasswade Gymnastics Club is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Women’s Artistic Level 2 Coach to join our team and help grow our women’s Artistic Section. This role is perfect for someone passionate about coaching gymnasts.
Salary: Direct Coaching rate is £13.36 - £14.47 per hour dependant on Qualification Level.
Contract: This is an Employed post, which provides 5.6 Weeks of Annual Leave, Pension and funding for CPD opportunities and coaching qualifications
Hours: 12 - 28 Hours Per Week initially with opportunities to grow
Schedule: Flexible hours within our programme, which runs Tuesday to Thursday evenings, Friday afternoon/evening, and all-day Sunday.
Job Description Main Responsibilities- Coach within the Women’s Artistic competitive squad programme.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and progressive coaching sessions appropriate to qualification level.
- Develop individual training plans for gymnasts within the squad programme.
- Prepare gymnasts for competitions and attend events as required.
- Work closely with the Head of Women’s Artistic and Head Coach to monitor gymnasts and programme progress.
- Create a safe, positive, and supportive training environment.
- Ensure effective, progressive lesson planning across all sessions.
- Minimum of Level 2 coaching qualification in Women’s Artistic, with a commitment to progress towards Level 3.
- Current Safeguarding and Protecting Children Certificate, and PVG.
- Knowledge and experience of the current WAG Pathways.
- A strong commitment to gymnast wellbeing, motivation, and long-term development.
- Passion for coaching gymnasts within the competitive pathways.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team, and independently.
