Behavioral Health Intervention Specialist - Full-Time
Location
- Boone and/or Grinnell, Iowa
Woodward Community Based Services (WCBS) is hiring a Behavioral Health Intervention Specialist (BHIS) to provide in-home and community-based mental health services for children, adolescents, and families.
This full-time position supports clients ages 4–21 with behavioral health needs
, skill development
, and mental health interventions to improve functioning at home, school, and in the community.
- Provide in-home behavioral health services and community-based services
- Deliver BHIS skill development for children and adolescents (bilingual)
- Support families using a trauma-informed
, strengths-based approach - Collaborate with therapists and supervisors on treatment planning
- Complete required clinical documentation and progress notes
- Travel to client homes, schools, and community settings
- Spanish language skills (bilingual)
- Schedule: Flexible, primarily afternoons and evening, with occasional weekends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
, Psychology
, Human Services
, or related field
OR equivalent experience/training in child mental health services
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or families preferred
- Knowledge of behavioral interventions
, mental health diagnosis
, and ethical standards - Must meet Iowa BHIS requirements and be at least 3 years older than clients under 18
- Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.
