Outdoor work driving a company vehicle to job sites, using computer utility maps and specialized locating equipment to find underground cables, pipes and other utilities to prevent damage and ensure safety in excavation, landscaping, and construction environments.

Salary: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

• Drive a company vehicle to job sites in response to routine ticket requests, emergencies, and relocations.
• Utilize mapping tools and locating equipment to identify underground utilities (electric, gas, telephone, and other communication lines).
• Mark utility locations with paint, flags and communicate relevant information to excavation personnel or authorities.
• Respond to after‑hours emergency call‑outs according to rotation schedule.

• Computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.
• Participation in Vannguard’s Drug‑Free Workplace Program and drug screening.
• Self‑management and timely communication with supervisors and clients.

• Drive 50–300+ miles daily.
• Get in and out of vehicle 50+ times a day.
• Stand and walk lengthy distances over uneven terrain in all weather conditions.
• Sit for long periods while driving.
• Lift or move 50–150 pounds.
• Work outdoors in all weather.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Driver’s License (required).
• Computer skills 1 year (preferred).
• Utility locating 1 year (preferred).

Job Type: Full‑time

Schedule:

10‑hour shift, Monday to Friday, on call, overtime.
