HS Physical Education/Strength & Conditioning

Due to professional advancement, Boone Central Schools is seeking applications for a High School Physical Education Instructor (Grades 9-12) with an emphasis in Strength & Conditioning for the  school year. A valid Nebraska certificate with appropriate endorsement is required for this position. Boone Central Schools is a Pk-12 District with an enrollment of approximately 650 students. Boone Central is located in Albion, Nebraska, which is roughly 40 miles from Columbus, 55 miles from Norfolk, and 60 miles from Grand Island.

Individuals holding an appropriate endorsement in Physical Education pertinent to the high school grade levels will be considered. An emphasis in Strength & Conditioning will also be considered as a part of this position. Boone Central utilizes PLC’s which will allow the successful candidate the opportunity to collaborate alongside all PE teachers between the elementary, middle school, and high school in this content area weekly.

Coaching and possibly other extra duty opportunities available at both the high school and middle school level with the potential for future head coaching positions for qualified candidates. Current open coaching positions include:
Assistant Varsity Football. Applicants must hold or be able to obtain a Nebraska Teaching Certificate in the appropriate endorsed area by August 1, 2026.

Boone Central Schools takes all years of experience. The base salary for  is $39,300. The minimum placement for all new teachers will be BA-Step
3. Teachers initially placed at BA-Step 3 will remain at step 3 until their 4th year of service. First contract date will be around August 8th, 2026.
