Financial Controller – High Country Community Health
This position directs, coordinates, and administers all financial transactions to ensure integrity, accuracy, and transparency of financial reporting while safeguarding assets.
Work ArrangementOn‑site with a hybrid option after a 120‑day probationary period.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited college or university with a degree in accounting or finance (CPA preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience as a finance manager or accountant.
- Experience in a non‑profit organization with public and private funding.
- Healthcare industry experience.
- Knowledge of computer programs for collecting financial data.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Prepare and manage the monthly close, reconciliations, and financial reporting including board reports, grant reconciliation and audit preparation.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasts, inventory control, insurance, and supervision of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Optimize cash flow through proactive management of payables and receivables.
- Analyze and interpret financial data, develop reports reflecting internal economic conditions and trends.
- Direct comprehensive budget preparation and accurate revenue/cost forecasting.
- Prepare accurate, understandable quarterly financial statements and operating‑cost reports by funding source.
- Coordinate materials for the annual audit, prepare all tax returns including Form 990 and IRS year‑end reports.
- Review and approve all cash disbursements.
- Maintain fixed‑asset records and depreciation schedules; liaison with departments for equipment control.
- Supervise general‑ledger preparation and coordinate material for the computer service center.
- Interpret regulations applicable to health‑care financing.
- Participate in performance‑improvement programs and attend all related meetings.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the role.
Full‑time, exempt. Salary: $100,000 per year.
