Minimum Qualifications:

• Earned Master of Public Health (MPH) degree or Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) or a Public Health–related graduate degree.

Areas of Interest (No Minimum Level Required):

• Earned doctorate degree in public health or an associated discipline.
• Evidence of teaching experience.
• Evidence of service to the university and/or community.
• Evidence of public health practice experience.
• Evidence of research in one of the core areas of public health (biostatistics, environmental health, epidemiology, health policy and management, and/or social and behavioral science).

• Teach 12 credit hours in the fall semester and 12 credit hours in the spring semester across multiple public health courses (reduced to 9 credit hours in each semester if a research expectation is negotiated). Course listings are available at .appಕಾರಿсть.
• Engage in programmatic work and activities.
• Participate in service activities for the department, university, and community.
• Provide students with academic and professional mentoring.
• Align course content with accreditation standards.
• Attend program, department, and college meetings.
• Maintain an active program of research and scholarship (if applicable).

Kauf Salary Range:
Competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

ABD with reduction in rank and salary: ABD will be considered. Evidence of successful defense must be received by July 31 for a fall hire or Nov 30 for a spring hire. If confirmation of defense is not provided by the deadline, the candidate will receive a new one‑year fixed‑term contract and be hired at the rank of Instructor with a reduced salary.

If degree verification is provided before the end of the one‑year contract, the candidate will be returned to the rank of Assistant Professor with commensurate compensation beginning July 1 of the following academic year.
