The Team Leader assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in executing operational, sales, and merchandising objectives while delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. The role promotes a safe and productive work environment, trains team members, and upholds company policies and procedures.

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as required by business needs.
• Uphold and promote a safe and productive work environment by enforcing policies and procedures.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA:
  • Greet the Customer.
  • Uncover Customer’s Needs & Wants.
  • Recommend Product Solutions.
  • Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer.
• Perform a mix of the following duties during 95% of the day, with the exact mix varying by day:
• Execute assigned basic, promotional, and seasonal merchandising activities.
• Perform Opening/Closing procedures.
• Transport and deposit money to the bank.
• Assess store conditions and assign duties.
• Organize and prioritize workflow using the daily planner.
• Recover merchandise.
• Participate in mandatory freight processes.
• Perform price change activities.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure a Legendary shopping experience.
• Adhere to loss prevention standards and respond to alarm calls.
• Communicate with Team Members about job functions, responsibilities, and financial goals.
• Operate cash register/computer and supervise cash handling procedures.
• Assist Team Members with policies and procedures.
• Sanitize and maintain poultry holding tanks as required.
• Operate forklift and baler.
• Complete all documentation related to job duties.
• Obtain licenses or certifications as needed.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

• Retail experience and/or knowledge of farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to read, write, and count accurately.

• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict.
• Ability to perform and execute the principal responsibilities of Team Members.

• Favorable indoor environment with moderate noise.
• Shift lengths vary but generally are no less than 4 hours and may exceed 8 hours.
• Promotes a safe and productive work environment for Team Members and customers.
• Indoor floors and outdoor lots are typically hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt, etc.) with adequate lighting and temperature.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.

• Move and transfer merchandise up to 50 pounds.
• Push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with proper equipment.
• Occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead.
• Stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders frequently.
• Move throughout the store for an entire shift.
• Operate and use all store equipment (dolly, handtruck, forklift, baler, computer, cash register).
• Read, write, and count accurately for documentation.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
• Process information/merchandise through the point-of-sale system.
• Handle birds/poultry as required.
• Complete all required training and certifications.
• Travel as required to support district needs.
• Drive or operate a vehicle for business needs.
• Position is non-sedentary.
