Samaritans Purse is seeking a Senior HVAC Technician at our International Headquarters location in Boone, N.C. As a Senior HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for setup, programming, operation, and maintenance of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems at all Samaritan's Purse facilities. You will provide work direction to other HVAC Technicians and supervise outside HVAC vendors as necessary. Come and use your gifts daily to advance the Gospel!

A day in the life of a Senior HVAC Technician:

In the role of Senior HVAC Technician, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
• Maintain daily operation of all systems of HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot system failures and make necessary repairs, with a strong emphasis on Preventive Maintenance.
• Perform and oversee quarterly inspections of equipment and programming systems, logging scheduled inspection reports as required. Report any deficiencies or concerns to the Director of Facilities. Provide hands-on field training for Maintenance staff as assigned.
• Make recommendations on equipment purchases and energy-savings strategies. Assist Facilities Manager with inventory start-up and monitoring of necessary inventory to facilitate prompt repairs and maintenance of HVAC equipment.
• Maintain a safe work environment. Perform all work in a safe manner and follow all associated safety guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• HVAC technician certification and at least seven (7) to ten (10) years of commercial experience installing, operating, and maintaining HVAC equipment and systems; or at least five (5) years of energy management experience installing, operating, and maintaining energy management systems, including thermal operating energy systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC/mechanical maintenance. The work calls for sufficient comprehension and the ability to solve unusual as well as common work problems, to be able to advise on technical matters, and to serve as a resource on the subject for others in the organization.
• State of North Carolina HVAC license preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
