Practice Manager – Booneville Overview
The Practice Manager provides management for office operations, including planning, scheduling, organizing, and coordinating various administrative activities required for efficient daily operations. The role supervises clinic activities and personnel, manages registration, checkout, financial matters, and ensures compliance with state regulations and accrediting agencies. The Practice Manager reports unresolved issues concerning patients, staff, and physicians and upholds the Mission and Vision statement of Baptist Memorial Health Care in all professional responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Communicates vision, policies and procedures, and goals; evaluates employee strengths and weaknesses to recommend performance‑improving changes.
- Supervises all facets of office operations, including implementation of procedures, records management, and collection and reporting of statistics.
- Assists the Director in developing and implementing office policies, crafting operation procedures, forms, and systems, and prepares manuals and training materials.
- Manages inventory, supplies, and expenditures, reviewing accounts payable and maintaining the office budget.
- Prepares, monitors, and maintains departmental records and reports.
- Plans, coordinates, and performs administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling meetings, handling confidential correspondence, attending meetings, and taking minutes.
- Completes assigned goals and objectives.
Preferred/Desired:
One (1) year of supervisory experience in a clinic environment.
Minimum:
Associate’s degree in business or a related field of study.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field of study.
- Ability to defuse volatile situations and address patient/customer concerns.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong analytical background and familiarity with spreadsheet and word‑processing applications.
